
The Madeira Wine, Embroidery and Handicrafts Institute (IVBAM) comemmorates the ‘World Craftsmen’s Day’, celebrated on March 19th, organising a multidisciplinary programme that celebrates Madeira’s traditional arts and crafts and highlights regional craftsmen as ambassadors of Madeira’s traditions.
In this context, IVBAM is promoting “Craftsmen’s Week” from March 17th to 21st, in the “Traditional Arts & Crafts of Madeira” space, with a varied program that includes, among other initiatives, workshops, exhibitions, live craft sessions and their respective sales, as well as a round table with various entities related to regional crafts, under the theme “Traditional Arts and Crafts of Madeira: Preservation and Innovation”.
