On 13 March at 9 pm, the XXXIX Madeira Music Festival presents “The Faun of the Mountains”, a unique opera-film, at MUDAS – Madeira Museum of Contemporary Art, in a special session marking the 100th anniversary of its premiere.
Cinema and music merge here in a poetic and experimental proposal with great sensory impact.
Directed by Manuel Luís Vieira from Madeira and with original music by Luís Soldado, this creation offers a hybrid artistic experience, in which the cinematographic image dialogues with live musical interpretation, intensifying the narrative force of the work.
The Festival’s Artistic Direction is led by violinist Norberto Gomes.
