The Madeira Classical Orchestra’s New Year’s Concert features the talented conductor Gianluca Marciano and the exceptional soloist Alberto Sousa.
The programme includes the traditional Polkas and Waltzes of the Strauss family, and there will be two sessions, one at 5 pm and another at 8 pm.
The Orchestra always tries to approach the history of the community to which it belongs, and it is based on that history that creativity and historical relevance is added to Madeiran 18th-century works, written in the style of the European musical practice of the genre, with a concert programme inspired by the Strauss Family.
