The 39th Madeira Music Festival will present the Busch Trio in a concert dedicated to the chamber music of Ludwig van Beethoven, a central figure in the transition between Classicism and Romanticism. The concert will take place at 9 p.m. at the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The trio will perform a programme bringing together the Variations in E-flat major, Op. 44; the Piano Trio in C minor, Op. 1, No. 3; and the Trio in D major, Op. 70, No. 1 — works revealing the formal inventiveness, dramatic intensity, and expressive depth for which the composer is known.
The Artistic Direction of the Festival is in the hands of violinist Norberto Gomes.
