This cultural event – The Madeira International Organ Festival – consists of a set of several concerts, headlined by nationally and internationally renowned Master Organ players.
These concerts will be held during the month of October, in several local liturgical venues namely at the
Cathedral (Sé), the Church of São João Evangelista (Colégio), the Church and Convent of Sta. Clara, the Recolhimento do Bom Jesus, the Church of Santa Luzia, the Church of São Martinho, the Church of N. Senhora de Guadalupe (Porto da Cruz), and the Church of N. Senhora da Conceição (Machico).
This festival aims at presenting this project, developed in the framework of recovering an almost unknown heritage, as well as enriching and promoting the decentralization of the organ’s cultural offer within the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
