]]> On 18 and 19 September 2026, Porto Santo Golfe will welcome the 9th edition of the “Colombo’s Golf Trophy” Tournament, a prestigious event included in the official programme of the Colombo Festival, held on the enchanting island of Porto Santo.

Set against the island’s breathtaking natural landscape and played on an exceptional golf course designed by the legendary Severiano Ballesteros, this competition offers an unforgettable experience for golf enthusiasts from around the world.

Bringing together national and international players, the tournament celebrates sporting excellence, camaraderie and the unique opportunity to discover one of the Atlantic’s most remarkable golf destinations. The competition will be played in the Stroke Play and Stableford Net formats.

]]> Columbus festival it’s just one of the many good reasons that will make you visit the so called “Golden Island”.

With a totally different landscape, Porto Santo is known for having one of the most beautiful beaches in the country with its crystal clear waters and therapeutical golden sand.

Columbus festival recalls the Age of discoveries and attracts hundreds of visitors to Porto Santo. It begins with Columbus’ arrival on the island in the XV century recreating the atmosphere of that time.

This festival, created by the teachers and students of the local schools, entails drama scenes, acrobatics shows, juggling and constant animation in the streets of the village, following the dress code of the time.

It is like travelling back in history!
