Aleste Festival is one of the youngest events to mark the cultural life of Madeira. Since 2014, the festival occupies, three times a year, noble spaces of Funchal’s shared identity, discovering new potentialities and promoting the diversification of the public space.
Aleste is born under the sign of music, proposing alternative music posters that, while keeping up with current affairs, promote the most relevant Portuguese artists each year.
In previous editions, Aleste Festival has brought to Funchal artists such as Bonga, Selma Uamusse, Marina Gasolina, the Danes Liima, Laid Back and Who Made Who, the North Americans Bitchin Bajas and Wooden Wisdom, the English The Correspondents, the Portuguese La Flama Blanca, The Legendary Tigerman, Lena d’Agua, Memória de Peixe, Sensible Soccers, Capitão Fausto, The Poppers, Surma and Gala Drop.
