The annual rural event, the Apple Festival, takes place from the 16th to the 17th of September. Organised by the Ponta do Pargo Community Centre, this festival usually gathers many agriculturists from various neighbouring locations. The producers gather in the parish of Ponta do Pargo and transform the production and harvesting of the apple into a very lively and well-known festival. This celebration also has a full and vibrant music line-up which includes folk groups, regional bands and even renowned national artists.
