The 23rd Brigalhó Gastronomic Exhibition and Competition will take place on 24 May in the central square of Curral das Freiras.
The main purpose of this event is to celebrate and promote the traditional cuisine of Curral das Freiras, highlighting brigalhó (local tuber) as one of the parish’s most representative local products. Throughout the day, visitors will have the opportunity to sample a variety of gastronomic creations in an atmosphere that honours local flavours, knowledge and traditions.
The competition will recognise participants in several categories, namely “Gastronomic Innovation”, “Best Cooking”, “Best Presentation and Participation”, encouraging creativity and the preservation of the region’s culinary heritage.
