Carnival Allegoric Parade

The highlight of Carnival takes place on the evenings of 5 and 6 February with the spectacular Allegorical Parade. Around 1,500 extravagantly costumed revellers and more than a dozen colourful floats take part in this vibrant procession.

The carnival allegoric parade exudes brightness, color, rhythm and a lot of samba, attracting thousands of locals and tourists alike to the center of Funchal, in a true ode to revelry.
