The Madeira Underwater Open returns to the Region from 22 to 28 June, inviting the world to discover Madeira beneath the surface. This international event celebrates the ocean’s unique beauty, showcasing the archipelago’s outstanding underwater potential and remarkable marine biodiversity.
With crystal-clear waters, exceptional visibility, breathtaking underwater landscapes and a rich, vibrant marine life, Madeira stands out as a true paradise for sport diving, attracting athletes, photographers and ocean enthusiasts from all corners of the globe.
Organised by the Madeira Swimming Association (ANM) and the Portuguese Federation of Underwater Activities (FPAS), the Madeira Underwater Open is much more than a competition. It is a celebration of the ocean, sustainability, and the deep connection between sport and nature, projecting the Region as a world-class destination for underwater tourism.
