This coming Sunday, September 1st, the seafront of Ribeira Brava will once again be the venue for another edition of the FESTIBRAVA Folklore Festival.
This year’s event, which has been held since 2001, will feature five folklore groups: the Casa do Povo da Ribeira Brava Folklore Group, the Santo António Cultural Centre Folklore Group, the Casa do Povo de Campanário Folklore Group, the Arruda dos Vinhos Pruning and Harvest Folklore Group and the São Lourenço da Montaria Ethnographic Group.
The festival’s programme, promises to be full of music, dance and entertainment, and begins at 17:30 with an opening parade in which all five groups will parade from Ribeira Brava’s Casa do Povo to the center stage. Later there will be individual performances by each group starting at 18:00.
FESTIBRAVA is a cultural event, full of dreams and tradition, and is organised by the Casa do Povo da Ribeira Brava, in collaboration with Ribeira Brava Town Hall.
