Between 17 and 21 August, Funchal hosts another edition of the International Folklore Festival Funchal Folk – Arraial do Mundo.
Organised by the Grupo de Folclore de Monteverde, the event will feature several folk groups from Portugal, Slovakia, France, Croatia, Spain, Poland and Lithuania. Through their colours, rhythms and melodies, they promise unique performances celebrating tradition and folklore, while promoting a genuine exchange of cultural expressions.
On 17, 18 and 19 August, the participating groups will perform at the Imaculado Coração de Maria Parish Church.
On 21 August, at 9:00 pm, the Final Gala will take place at the Municipal Garden Auditorium, bringing the festival to a close with a celebration of the cultural diversity of the participating countries.
