The Strauss International Salon Orchestra welcomes 2024 with a wonderful New Year’s concert, taking place on January 1st, at the Madeira Congress Center, at 5pm. The show features the special participation of virtuoso violinist Andrei Ladeishchikov and solo singers Paulo Soares, Cláudia Sousa, Maria Ferreira and Duarte Santos. The repertoire will include themes typical of Viennese New Year concerts, but also from Broadway musicals and operettas such as “The Merry Widow”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Virtuoso”, “Gypsy Violin”, “Evita”, “ The Phantom of the Opera”, “Les Miserables” “My Fair Lady”, “West Side Story, among others. There will also be no shortage of Waltzes and Polkas by Strauss and Lehar.
