The onion festival is one of the most emblematic festivities of Caniço, whose main attraction is the onion parade, involving several decorated floats and an auction, an event to held from May,17th to 19th.
During the parade, it is possible to see tractors and carts decorated with onions and the typical animation of a Madeiran festival.
