The Conservatory – School of Arts of Madeira, Eng.º Luiz Peter Clode, a set of concerts, for 2026, taking place throughout the month of May and June.

These concerts include performances by students from the Professional Courses in Instrumental Music, Jazz Instrumental Music, and the Specialized Artistic Education Program.

These recitals will take place at 8:30 pm in the Main Hall of the Conservatoire, featuring a variety of musical performances open to all.

ABM Madeira presents the concert “Fala-me de Música” – Duo Bandonica, as part of the 2026 season, featuring a series of performances across various municipalities of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.

The project brings together mandolinist Francisca Abreu and accordionist Alessio Ferrari, offering the audience a borderless musical journey, where mandolin and accordion engage in a dialogue across different cultures, eras, and traditions.

A unique opportunity to enjoy a concert combining instrumental dialogue, emotion, and shared experience, promoting cultural accessibility throughout the region.

The groups participating in the Allegoric Parade of the Flower Festival come to life, displaying dazzling costumes and choreographies.
This performance is a celebration of flowers, beauty and joy, embracing the public in a festive atmosphere.
Entrance to this performance is free but limited to the capacity of the location, therefore book your seat to witness this exciting show which transforms the Heliport, at Pier 8 into a stage filled with movement, colour and energy.
The tickets for these unique shows are free and will be available at the Tourist Information Office, located in Avenida Arriaga.

IX Monte do Imperador

The parish of Monte hosts the 9th edition of “Monte do Imperador” (Emperor’s Hill), an event that commemorates the visit of Emperor Charles, the last Emperor of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, to the island of Madeira, where he spent his last days.
This event, organised by the Parish Council of Monte, recreates the period between 1921 and 1922 through music, dance, costumes, customs and gastronomy, where visitors can experience all of these sensations in a bucolic setting.

As in previous editions, the Parish Council invites visitors to bring along a prop or a piece of clothing from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Bailinho dos Vinhões

Wine culture has been part of Madeira’s identity for centuries. From the terraced vineyards carved into the island’s slopes to the world-renowned Madeira wine, the region’s connection to viticulture is deeply rooted in authenticity, craftsmanship and celebration. In this spirit, the third edition of Bailinho dos Vinhões returns, promising to transform the heart of Funchal into a vibrant gathering dedicated to wine, gastronomy, art and music.

The event will take place on Saturday, May 23, from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Barreirinha Bathing Complex, bringing together more than 20 small wine producers from across Portugal in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

More than a wine tasting event, Bailinho dos Vinhões celebrates contemporary wine culture by highlighting independent producers, artisanal methods and the connection between territory, community and creativity. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover unique wines, meet and talk directly with the producers, and enjoy a diverse range of high-quality gastronomic offerings in an experience that blends tradition with modernity.

This year’s edition of the Flower Festival features the show “Flower Fantasy”, a celebration of Madeiran talent that brings together some of the Region’s finest voices, including Vânia Fernandes, Alberto Sousa, Cláudia Sousa, João Camacho, Paulo Soares and Duarte Santos.

From the Greatest Showman to the magic of the Disney universe, the programme offers a diverse music range covering different styles, including opera, operetta and the famous waltzes by Johann Strauss.

The performance will also be enhanced by the Prestige Dance Club, which will present its national champions under the direction of Oksana Kerekesh, Mariana Menezes and Vladimir Kerekesh. The show will also feature special appearances by the Bolo de Caco Theatre Group and the group, Sorrisos de Fantasia, who promise to add moments of surprise and charm to this artistic celebration.
