This Enduro race combines an adventure in Madeira with the best of Mountain Biking!!
In the “Bike Camp Experience” the athletes will camp, every day, in places of spectacular beauty.
At TransMadeira, the objective is to cover about 200 km of trails, with various types of terrain, in the shortest time possible.
It will take place from 18th to 23rd May and from 28th September to 3rd October 2026, in two unprecedented editions, and will cover the island from Machico (East) to Calheta (West).

The MIUS – Madeira Island Ultra Swim – Porto Santo 2026 is a prestigious open-water swimming competition, part of the national calendar for the sport, taking place on the idyllic island of Porto Santo between 23rd and 24th May.

It is one of the most iconic open-water swimming events, forming part of the National Open-Water Circuit – Open de Portugal. The competition is organised by the Madeira Swimming Association (ANM), in partnership with the Portuguese Swimming Federation (FPN).

Held in a natural setting of rare beauty, with superb seas and unique landscapes, this event has established itself as a benchmark in the national sporting calendar, combining competition, tourism promotion and the enhancement of Madeira as a destination.

This event contributes to the revitalisation and diversification of the tourism offering and is already a world-renowned aquatic event.

XXII Rampa dos Barreiros

Organized by Clube de Automóveis Clássicos da Madeira, Rampa dos Barreiros is an historic controlled speed competition on a closed circuit, with an extension of approximately 2.5 km, starting in front of the Madeira Regional Assembly, along the southern lane of Avenida do Mar and ending next to Quinta Magnólia, in an event scheduled for the 24th May.

It was held for the first time in 1935, and as in past editions, the organization estimates the participation of 90 classic and antique vehicles.

Harvey Foster Classic New Road

The Clube de Automóveis Clássicos da Madeira promotes the 13th edition of the “Harvey Foster Classic New Road” race, an event organized in honour of Bernard Harvey Foster, who brought the first automobile to Madeira in 1904.
This event is exclusively aimed at antique cars produced until the end of 1955. The gathering takes place along Avenida do Mar, with the trip taking place between the emblematic town of Câmara de Lobos and the centre of Funchal.
The participating vehicles will later be displayed in these two cities.

Mountain Bike Madeira Meeting

The Madeira Ladies Open – W50 Funchal returns in 2026 for its 7th edition, taking place from 8 to 15 November at Quinta Magnólia tennis courts, in Funchal.

Part of the ITF World Tennis Tour, the tournament will feature Women’s Singles and Doubles events, bringing together some of the best Portuguese and international players.

Organised by the Associação de Ténis da Madeira in partnership with the Federação Portuguesa de Ténis, and supported by several regional institutions, the Madeira Ladies Open is regarded as one of the most important women’s tennis tournaments held in Portugal.

Funchal Marathon

This event is divided in 3 races: Marathon (42.195 m), Half Marathon (21.097,50 m) and Mini Marathon (8.830 m), and there are participants from over 51 countries joining the race. It’s a great and completely different way to experience a local event, exercising and getting to know the archipelago’s capital – Funchal.

Nature Festival

he Nature Festival takes place throughout the Madeira archipelago between the 6th and 11th of October. The event aims to promote tourist entertainment within the scope of nature, encouraging the practice of activities that allow direct contact with the rich natural heritage of Madeira islands and associating active tourism with gastronomy, wine tourism and music.

Amidst the walks along the levadas which almost edge the entire island, the descents down the waterfalls in the mountains along the north coast, the bike rides through the forest trails and the knowledge of our cultural and historical roots, the Nature Festival is a tribute to the natural heritage of the archipelago, where the Laurel forest, a UNESCO world heritage site since 1999, is a must too.

Open to participants of all ages, the event which covers some of the most beautiful spots in Madeira is filled with culture, nature sports, heritage and history. In this edition, in addition to the usual extreme activities carried out within nature, the wellness and well-being factors are also considered.

Nature is the motto for this excellent opportunity to get to know the best places on the island – from the seaside to the top of the mountains – while experiencing various sports and activities which are already part of this destination.
