Nature Festival

The Nature Festival takes place throughout the Madeira archipelago between the 1st and 6th of October. The event aims to promote tourist entertainment within the scope of nature, encouraging the practice of activities that allow direct contact with the rich natural heritage of Madeira islands and associating active tourism with gastronomy, wine tourism and music.

Amidst the walks along the levadas which almost edge the entire island, the descents down the waterfalls in the mountains along the north coast, the bike rides through the forest trails and the knowledge of our cultural and historical roots, the Nature Festival is a tribute to the natural heritage of the archipelago, where the Laurel forest, a UNESCO world heritage site since 1999, is a must too.

Open to participants of all ages, the event which covers some of the most beautiful spots in Madeira is filled with culture, nature sports, heritage and history. In this edition, in addition to the usual extreme activities carried out within nature, the wellness and well-being factors are also considered.

Nature is the motto for this excellent opportunity to get to know the best places on the island – from the seaside to the top of the mountains – while experiencing various sports and activities which are already part of this destination.
