<p>Designed by architect Paulo David, Mudas.Contemporary Art Museum, has received international awards for its architecture and seamless integration into the landscape and hosts various exhibitions, musical performances, plays and lectures.</p>
<p>Mudas.Contemporary Art Museum is located in Calheta Municipality in the west of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, just over 30 minutes from Funchal.</p>
<p>Its museological and artistic collection was transferred from the S. Tiago Fort , in Funchal, totalling 400 pieces, spanning from the 60s to the present day.<br/>This facility has a construction area of about 12,000 m² and was built as an extension to the existing Calheta Culture House, where the &#8220;Gallery&#8221; currently operates. The Mudas.Contemporary Art Museum includes an exhibition area, auditorium, library, shop, cafeteria, restaurant and a large area for cultural activities and artistic studios and workshops and an underground car park with a capacity for 92 cars.<br/>The building was designed to create a sober and pleasant environment, providing views from the inside, over the sea and the surrounding hills, with breath taking landscapes.</p>
<p>The mission of this cultural entity is to raise public awareness of and interest in the arts in general and contemporary art in particular, promoting lifelong learning and education through art.</p>

<p>The Santa Cruz Cultural Centre &#8211; Quinta do Revoredo is a public space where various cultural activities are promoted. Quinta do Revoredo forms part of the Santa Cruz Cultural Centre, a public space that plays host to a range of cultural activities. <br>In this space various exhibition rooms can be found, as well as a plastic arts workshop, a photography lab, a library and a charming open-air amphitheatre. The mansion also has well-kept gardens, where the renowned dragon tree can be spotted, along with various plant species that bring a splash of green to the area. The Cultural Centre is the venue of choice for a group of regional, Portuguese and international artists, who use it to promote their work.</p>

<p>With a total area of 36,000 m², Santa Catarina Park offers stunning views of Funchal Bay and has several walking paths. The park offers nature lovers many species of flora from around the world and has an enchanting lake with a small island where ducks and swans are born and live.<br>This park has a children’s playground and there are also two old machines on display that were once used to crush grapes and asphalt roads, as well as sculptures of well known personalities and the Santa Catarina chapel. There is also a play room where children, if accompanied by an adult, can make drawings, play or read.</p>

<p>Vila Baleira is the capital and only city on the island of Porto Santo, in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, in Portugal.<br/>The island has only this village, and administratively it has a single municipality and a single parish that also include the islets of Baixo, Cima, Ferro and Fonte de Areia.<br/>The city is one of the few municipalities with a different name from the municipality itself. Vila Baleira was elevated to the category of city on August 7, 1996 and has a population of 5 483 inhabitants (2011).</p>

<p>The church of São João Evangelista do Colégio do Funchal is one of the most beautiful monuments of the 17th century. Its construction marks the transition from international mannerism to Portuguese Baroque.<br/>Located in the parish of São Pedro, it presents itself as one of the most beautiful Portuguese temples of its time and one of the richest churches on the island of Madeira.<br/>This beautiful work by the Jesuits presents a gilded carving from the 17th century, considered as one of the most valuable pieces of 17th century Portuguese carving. It also displays tiles and paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries.</p>

<p>Located in Avenida Arriaga, the Baltazar Dias Municipal Theatre is a centennial monument of high architectural value. <br/><br/>The Baltazar Dias Theatre is a tribute to the blind playwright from Madeira island, Baltazar Dias, a theatrical author in the second half of the 16th century, whose works have been performed in popular theatres in Europe, Africa and Brazil.<br/><br/>The Theatre, located right in the centre of Funchal, was built in 1888 and exemplifies architectural balance and elegance. It was decorated by two famous painters and decorators of the time, Eugénio do Nascimento Cotrim and the Italian, Luigi Manini.<br/>The ceilings were painted with decorative elements of the romantic era, and the stalls are in horseshoe shape and surrounded by boxes decorated with Greek theatre masks in gilded carved wood. Located in Avenida Arriaga, the Baltazar Dias Municipal Theatre has romantic elements, with the stalls in horseshoe shape and the boxes decorated with Greek theatre masks. </p>

<p>The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption (Portuguese: Sé Catedral de Nossa Senhora da Assunção) in Sé, Funchal, Madeira, Portugal, is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Funchal, which encompasses all of the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The late fifteenth-century cathedral is one of the few structures that survives virtually intact since the early period of colonization of Madeira.
