MIUT – Madeira Island Ultra Trail

This is the major competition of trail running in Madeira. Year after year, this competition brings not only a vast selection of elite ITRA athletes as well as hundreds of other runners, gathering over 2000 participants.
It’s a race of 115km and 7200 D+, challenging athletes to cross the island from one end to another, being described by many as a truly remarkable lifetime experience.
The diverse and fascinating landscapes that these athletes fnd along the way, as well as the long descents and ascents, are some of the main reasons that turn this event into an exciting and enriching adventure.
