The event Christmas Market was born from the idea of replicating the typical European Christmas fairs, a tradition that the Municipality of Funchal decided to recreate in the Lavradores Market, thus taking place in Fish Market. The event begins with the theme of Fashion, accessories and decoration, on 3rd December. A week later, on December 10th, the event presents us with Christmas Delicacies, always with huge demand and where visitors take the opportunity to purchase delicacies to celebrate the holiday. On the last day of the event, 17th December, the stage is given to the participants who take part in the Thematic Fairs that are organised at the Lavradores Market, a Sunday where we find everything from antiques to gastronomy, from second-hand booksellers to handicrafts.
