Madeira’s Classical Orchestra celebrates its 56th anniversary, with a tribute concert to the 600 years of Madeira’s discovery. On this “Journey over Six Centuries”, you will listen to classical composers such as Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Mahler, as well as the most recent ones.
The program also includes the best of the Strauss family and works from the end of the XIX century.
The cast of professional musicians is of a high standard, with illustrious guests and soloists, under the artistic direction of maestro Norberto Gomes. Madeira’s Classical Orchestra also promotes several performances throughout the year, which can be followed on the ofcial websites.
