The Madeira International Fireworks Competition comprises three pyromusical shows, which take place on the first three Saturdays in June and can be viewed, over 20 minutes, across the whole of the bay of Funchal.
For this edition, pyrotechnic companies from three countries will take part in the competition, competing for the ‘Atlantic Trophy’, awarded by a jury, as well as the ‘Madeira Tão Tua Trophy’, a distinction awarded by the public. The public vote can be cast through the ballot boxes available at Plaza Madeira shopping centre, at the Tourist Information Office on Avenida Arriaga, and also at Funchal pier on the night of each show.
It’s 20 minutes of magic, light, colour and music.
