Competition Dressed for the occasion

The “Dresses for the Occasion ”competition returns in this edition of Madeira Classic Car Revival 2026, with the aim of creating a historic atmosphere, an event that takes place at Praça do Povo.
This competition will take place on May 23rd, with registrations taking place between 11.30 am and 1pm, and the competition itself between 2pm and 3pm.

Participants must be photographed exclusively by the organization’s official photographer; other photographs will not be accepted into the competition.
Both Portuguese and foreigners, over the age of 18, can participate. Interested parties simply need to present themselves with an accessory that allows them to “travel through time”.

Take part in this event and help us recreate the magic of the past centuries at Madeira Classic Car Revival 2026!

Madeira International Fireworks Contest

The Madeira International Fireworks Contest consists of three pyromusical shows on the first three Saturdays of June which can be seen along the bay of Funchal, during 20 minutes.

The objective is to attain the “Atlantic Trophy”, awarded by a jury.
On the other hand, the “Madeira Belongs to All Trophy”, is awarded by public vote.

Follow the soundtracks of the Madeira Atlantic festival pyromusical shows, broadcasted live, at FM 105.09 MHz .

Programme
June, 7th
10.30pm
. Pyromusical Show: representing The United Kingdom, the company Fully Fused Fireworks, under the theme “The Power of Dreams”.

June, 14th
10.30pm
. Pyromusical Show: representing Belgium, the company HC Pyrotechnics, under the theme “Love’s Symphony: A Fireworks Extravaganza”.

June, 21st
10.30pm
. Pyromusical Show: representing Switzerland, the company La Pirotecnica SAGL di Colombo, under the theme “Happiness and Love”.

Classics at Magnolia

This exhibition sheduled for the last weekend of July is a great tourist value and a tribute to all those who contribute and are dedicated to the preservation of classic vehicles and to the assertion of this heritage.

In addition to its natural charm, the gardens of Quinta Magnólia present, once again, all the glamour of that decade, in an atmosphere plenty of entertainment, period-dressed extras, gatherings and automobile- and lounge areas.
‘Classics in Magnolia’ was born in 2020, associated with the exhibition ‘Recomposition’, which took place in the cultural centre “Quinta Magnólia – Centro Cultural”, alluding to the contribution that Madeiran sculptor Ricardo Veloza has left us. Having achieved, from the outset, a notable success, the event allowed the assertion of a new event in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.

Wine Festival

The Madeira Wine Festival is above all a cultural and ethnographic event.
This festival pays tribute to this sector which is, and always has been, extremely important to the region, attracting many tourists and locals to the various points where it is held.
The Madeira Wine Lounge will be set up in Praça do Povo, where a more cosmopolitan and contemporary atmosphere associated with the consumption of Madeira wines will be recreated, where you can taste the flavors of the region and the wines of each producing municipality.
There will also be a variety of musical entertainment.

Atlantic Festival

With 20 years of existence this is the official event that opens the door for Summer in Madeira. Every Saturday in June an international competition takes place in Funchal’s bay, where each participating country chooses a theme and exhibits the talent, novelties and advances in the pyrotechnics art.
The firework display is accompanied by music and a great diversity of colours.
